Get Ready With Me: Christmas 2013

Hi Everyone,

I hope you guys are having an amazing holiday season! I am so excited because I know Christmas is right around the corner. Anyways for todays post I thought I would share with you my current look that I have been loving. Fro some reason this holiday season I have been enjoying more of a simplistic makeup look. That being said I still hope you guys enjoy my blog post :)

Step 1: I start off by applying my Clinique Even Better foundation. I love this foundation as it contains SPF 25 and it just gives me the right amount of coverage. What I simply do is simply warm a bit of the product in between my fingers and blend throughout my face with my hands. I like using my hands as it just gives a natural look.

Step 2: Because I have bad under eye bags I use the Neutrogena Brightening Eye Perfecter. With the built in applicator I create a triangle of dots and blend the dots in with my ring finger.

Step 3: Now even though I have not been using eyeshadow I never forget to apply primer. I use the Urban Decay Primer Potion just to even out my lid and also to create a pop for my eyeliner.

Step 4: I have been enjoying purple eyeliner instead of black. My current favorite has been MAC's liquid last liner in Powerplum.

Step 5: Now for lashes in order to really define them i have been layering on two mascaras. One trick that I love is applying  a volumizing mascara first and then layering that on with a lengthening mascara. I love the Revitalash Volumizing  Mascara and Maybelline's Lashionista Mascara.

Step 6: Its blush time!!! I have been loving MAC's blush in Gleeful. This blush gives the perfect flush of color for the holiday time without being over the top.

Step 7: For the holiday season I love experimenting with darker lip colors. I have personally been loving Sugar fresh lip balm in Passion. Its perfect because it is mositurizing as well as a color that is very build-able.

Step 8: Finally I cannot leave the house without some gloss. My favorite has just been NYX's lipgloss in Perfect. Its a very pretty light pink shimmery gloss.

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog! In the comment below let me know your favorite products for this holiday season.

Waxing or Shaving?

Hi Everyone,

I know that removing hair is big part of every girls's life. Although some of us may prefer shaving or waxing or vice versa I decided to a blog post informing you guys of all the pros and cons of waxing and shaving.

I know most girls resort to shaving when it comes to removing hair. Shaving can be really good as it is painless, and quick. Shaving is very simple as it just involves just a razor and some shave gel. However the down side to shaving is that it creates ingrowth. Ingrown hair is the hair that grows underneath your skin. This is very common if you shave because shaving only removes the hairs on the surface. Another problem with shaving is that it requires daily maintenance as the hair grows back fast. Not only that but when the hair grows back, it grows back darker and coarser.

Another common method of hair removal is waxing. Waxing is great because it removes hair form the roots so that your not left with ingrown hair. Also with waxing it takes long for the hair to grow back and when it does grow back it doesn't  becoming darker or coarser. With personal experience I have also noticed that over time the hair growth decreases. However the down side to waxing is that it does hurt and can be more difficult then shaving. Also waxing is more time consuming as it involves multiple steps.

Personally I try to wax whenever I can just in order to prevent ingrown hair. However when I am busy and I don't have the time to wax I do shave.

In Flight Beauty Essentials

Hi Everyone,

I am going to be traveling very soon and so  I thought it would be perfect to share with you so of my inflight beauty essentials.

We all know that traveling can be quite tiring. Not only that but the airplane air is cold and recycled so your skin tends to get very dry while traveling. Therefor my in-flight routines consist of products that keep my skin moist. Just make sure that whatever products you carry with you is small enough to pass through security :)

Starting from left to right

Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy Perfume: I always like to cary some type of mini perfume when I travel, just so that when I exit the plane I smell fresh and not plane like.

Innisfree Aloe Vera Face Mask: Because your skin can tend to get very dry on flight I always love to carry face masks. Face masks help to retain back the moisture in your face and if you are getting bored its something fun and relaxing to do on flight.

EOS Lip Balm: My lips get especially dry on flight and that is why I ensure that I have a lip balm with me while I am traveling.

Tic Tac: I always love to have tic tac with me just for a change of taste or if I am in need of something minty.

Sugar Lip Treatments in Sugar Berry: I love carrying this lip treatment with me. Its super moisturizing and adds some color to my lips while traveling. Also if I am in need of some color on my face I can just double this up as a creamy blush.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum: I just recently did a blog post about this serum. This serum is perfect for traveling as it keeps my face hydrated.

Bath and Body Works Moisturizer: In order to keep my legs and arms from getting dry, I always carry a mini moisturizer with me. I love the bath and body works travel size moisturizers as they come in various scent that you can pick from.

Fuzzy Socks: Finally I just cannot travel without my fuzzy socks. Because the airplane tends to get very cold, I always slip on some fuzzy socks to keep my feet warm.

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post! Let me know your in flight beauty essentials in the comments below!

Winter Shower Routine (2013)

Hi Everyone,

For today's post I decided to share with you my winter shower routine.

Step 1: I start by shampooing my hair. The shampoo I am currently loving is the Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo. I love this shampoo because it really helps with preventing frizz in my hair and leaves my hair smooth and shiny. I also love the coconut scent to it.

Step 2: After shampooing my hair once, I apply a pinch of conditioner to the ends and the roots of my hair. The conditioner I am currently using is the Herbal essences Touchable Smooth conditioner. When I am finished with my conditioner I wrap my hair it in my shower cap. I do this so the product really settles in and works its magic.

Step 3: While my conditioner is settling in I start by exfoliating my legs as my skin gets extra dry in the winter months. I use this exfoliator that I received as a gift. However I make sure to exfoliate only 1-2 times.

Step 4: After exfoliating my skin I apply my body wash with a luffa. My current favorite body wash has been Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Wash from Bath and Body Works. Something about the warm vanilla scent just screams winter to me.

Step 5: Then I wash my face with the Clean and Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub. This is an amazing every day face wash as not only does it contain exfoliating beads but it also contains vitamin c that really helped with brightening and freshening my face.

Step 6: After I finish everything I take out my hair from the shower cap and rinse my hair with cold water in order to prevent frizz.

Step 7: Finally after my shower, in order to keep my body moisturized, I apply a body butter to my legs and arms. I love body body butters especially for the winter, as the thicker consistency helps with the drier skin. My current favorite body butter has been Gingerbread Sparkle Body Butter from The Body Shop.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Leave me a comment below telling me the products you use in your shower routine :)

Review: Ole Henriksen Truth Serum

Hi Everyone,

Since the past couple of weeks I have been using the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. The truth serum says to provide skin with nutrients form nature. It is a hydrating serum that contains orange extract, green tea extract and vitamin C complex. This truth serum can be found in Sephora and comes in two sizes. The 1oz that retails for $48 and the 1.7oz that retails for $72.

Since the past couple of weeks I have been applying a couple droplets of this serum in the morning and night right after cleansing my face. The serum has really helped hydrate my skin throughout the night and day and I love the citrus scent to it. I love how its an oil based product rather than. However although it the serum does leave my skin moisturized and feeling fresh I have not noticed a significant difference in my skin. I feel like this serum is no different than any other moisturizer.

Overall I am enjoying this product and using it daily on face. However I don't plan to go buy it again as I don't feel I get my money's worth from this product.

Winter OOTD: Layering

Hi Everyone,

One of my favorite part of winter fashion is layering. Today I have two different ways of wearing your summer dresses while layering some warmer pieces on top.

Outfit 1

Here I have simply taken a bottle green color dress and I have layered on top a knit skirt. I love the little hearts on the skirt as they just add some extra detail. Because my dress is sleeveless I decided to add a thin black cardigan and some sheer tights. Finally to keep me extra warm I added a knit red infinity scarf.

Skirt: H&M
Tights: Forever 21
Dress: Mango (not available anymore)
Cardigan: Cotton On
Scarf: Local Boutique

Outfit 2

For my dress here I have just chosen a black and white floral dress. On top I layered a knit white sweater. The sweater has tiny gold holes which I feel adds an elegant design. I paired the outfit with some tights, a necklace and a cross body bag.

Sweater: Forever 21
Dress: Brandy Melville
Bag: Kate Spade
Tights: Local Boutique
Necklace: Local Boutique
Ankle Boots: Steve Madden ( Not available anymore)
